I was happy to be invited to give a talk for ENT specialist trainees in Singapore this week at the Academia in Singapore General Hospital. The topic was on the safe use local anaesthesia in injections and pain conditions in the head and neck. Glad to still be able to contribute despite having left for private practice.
Below I have attached a slide that I have found useful in differentiating between the various causes of pain in the head and neck that is taken from the facial pain association of UK. Pain in the head and neck can be very difficult to diagnose, and it is useful to have a framework to use when diagnosing and treating a patient.
