The Anaesthesiologist and Pain Specialist specialises in minimally invasive techniques to treat neck pain, back pain, joint pain involving the shoulder, knee and hip, and many other pain conditions including trigeminal neuralgia and chronic post-surgical pain.
He is the previous Director of Acute Pain Services in Singapore General Hospital. He is Fellow of the Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP, USA), Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FFPMANZCA), as well as Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS). Dr Chutatape received the Ministry of Health Human Manpower Development Programme Award to specialize in Cancer and Chronic Pain at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, Australia. The Singaporean Thai-Chinese doctor seeks make a difference by teaching his patients and the public to overcome their pain through masterclasses, public forums, seminars, as well as through television and newspaper interviews.
Dr Thor has a clinic in Mount Elizabeth Novena as well as Farrer Park Hospital. He is consulted on cases and does procedures in the Parkway Hospitals, Mt Alvernia, Farrer Park Hospital and at major day surgery centres.
